Rundetaarn
Built in 1642 by King Christian IV of Denmark, the Rundetaarn, or roundtower in English, is a landmark of Copenhagen.
Originally erected to accomodate the university observatory, it is now open to tourists as well as a house for contemporary arts and design.
Before visiting, I knew I wanted to capture the helical corridor staircase of the tower when it was filled with light. I realized there was also an opportunity to photograph it while the windows were projected on the floor, creating a more dynamic image with both light and shadows at play. A little bit of online research and a bit of patience later, I timed my visit well and here are the results!
